Ladies Who Lunch

Last week, one of my dear friends, Feza, had a tea party for her birthday. I had so much fun! It was such a cool idea and I loved catching up with old friends, including one of my besties and favorite bloggers, Jenny of Au Bon Prix.

I wasn't quite sure what dress to wear to a tea party, so I decided to wear my new babydoll dress. The dress is very cutesy because of its length and shape (I wish I had more full body pics; sorry), but also sophisticated because of the beautiful pattern. It was a pretty rainy day, so I opted to pair the dress with my silver Doc Martens and knee high socks. Enjoy the pics!

I am in love with this dress!

We got caught taking a selfie :)

Fashion Forward

I know I'm not the only one tired of peplums, skater dresses, and skinny jeans.  Here is a collection of fashion forward items that are making waves this winter.

Wowza. This high shine top from ASOS contrasted with wool or cotton is a showstopper.

Pencil skirts in solid colors are getting a little tired. This jacquard print skirt from F&F livens up a classic style.

The thigh detailing on these Delia*s jeans keeps these skinnies interesting.

African wax print. I can't get enough! This Nakimuli skirt is definitely on my wish list!

I'm a sucker for Doc Martens and I love the combination of velvet and patent leather on this shoe.

Which one of these items would you wear?

The Best Looks from Beyonce's Visual Album

Don't sic the "Beyhive" on me, but I'm actually more of a Solange fan than Beyonce fan when it comes to both music and fashion choices. While most of the outfits in the videos are impractical for about 90% of women (who in the world actually wears denim thongs or bathing suits with fur coats?), I did have a few faves.

Which looks are your favorite?
